The ability to be fully present and vulnerable with another human being while transmuting pain into comfort, joy, healing, and power has always amazed me.
I offer individual psychotherapy, for adolescents and adults, that is uniquely tailored to enhance your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I guide you to realize / self-actualize your fullest potential and successes. I approach the work with my clients from a systematic perspective; our lives and experiences are influenced by the systems in which we live such as our relationships and cultural backgrounds.
My treatment is holistic. I see the wholeness of your being and guide you to see your inherent worth…to sit in the enormity of your authenticity without rejection. Realization is the easy part, actualization of the realization is the difficult part.
I am your guide through the pains of life while helping you see and experience the range of all your emotions safely and effectively. I provide assistance through trials, tribulations, trauma, and successes but ultimately I am teaching you to heal you.
Trust that I will help you give yourself grace; holding your self accountable with compassion as you travel the healing journey.
TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA
THE BODY KEEPS THE SCORE…
Trauma lives and stores in the body as somatic issues, which can develop into chronic conditions such as chronic pain, high blood pressure, fatigue, decreased immune response, sleeping disturbances, and sexual dysfunction. Stored trauma exacerbates the mental health systems as well with increased reactivity, restlessness, cognitive impairment including memory issues, irritability, and overall dissatisfaction with life. In short, it makes life so much harder.
Trauma disconnects the mind from the body, removing our ability to appropriately respond to stimuli in our lives....further enhancing the impact of trauma on the body.
With a trauma informed yoga practice, you are guided to connect with your body and learn how safely feel and release trapped emotions, memories, and traumas.
I guide you through a grounded private yoga sequence to learn how to reconnect with your body, listening for cues of distress and pain, and reteaching the body to effectively feel emotions while releasing stored trauma.
By holding the body in awareness, we reclaim our body and spirit.

Throughout my 13 years of practice, I have found that I have an immense passion for helping other therapists grow. I personally have experienced terrible, mediocre, and phenomenal supervision/consultation throughout the years and have learned from each experience.
I want to pass that knowledge to you.
My professional experiences include health psychology, case management, psychological assessment, risk assessment, group management, research development, project management, case conceptualization/formulation, treatment plans, agency work, and professional development.
The more esoteric experiences of mine include answering questions such as “how do I handle hearing all this trauma and not take it home?” or “this client is bringing up this in me, what do I do with that?” I can help you tap into your therapist intuition and find that voice.
